# Can I wash my face directly after dermaplaning?

Generally, it's best to avoid washing your face for at least a few hours after dermaplaning. This allows your skin to calm down and the initial hydration and sunscreen applied by your AIVI Aesthetics specialist to fully absorb.

- **If Necessary:** If you absolutely must wash your face sooner, use a very gentle cleanser with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry. Avoid scrubbing.
- **Listen to Your Skin:** If you feel any stinging or discomfort while washing, stop immediately and rinse thoroughly with cool water.
