– What it is

What is a liquid facelift?

A liquid facelift is a term commonly used to describe a non-surgical facial rejuvenation approach using injectable treatments. Unlike a surgical facelift, it does not surgically remove or reposition skin. Instead, injectable treatments may be used to address specific age-related changes such as facial volume loss, changes in contour, dynamic wrinkles, and loss of structural support.

There is no single formula. At AIVI Aesthetics, treatment is individualized rather than based on a predetermined number of syringes or injection points, your plan may include one treatment or a combination across movement, structure, and skin quality, depending on what we see during your facial assessment.

– What we work with

What treatments can be used?

A liquid facelift is really facial balancing across three things: movement, structure, and skin quality. Not every patient needs every treatment.

Dermal Fillers

Immediate volume and structural support in carefully selected areas: cheeks, chin, jawline, pyriform region, lips, or perioral area. The goal is facial balance and proportion, not just added volume.

Sculptra

Contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), stimulating your own collagen production. Results develop progressively rather than all at once, may be incorporated for broader volume loss or gradual rejuvenation.

Radiesse

A calcium hydroxylapatite biostimulator that provides immediate volume while stimulating ongoing collagen production, an alternative or complement to Sculptra depending on your goals and timeline.

Neuromodulators

Not every sign of aging is volume loss. Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, Jeuveau, or Xeomin may be incorporated to address dynamic wrinkles from repeated muscle movement.

RF microneedling

Volume and movement address structure, but skin quality, texture, tone, and firmness, is a separate concern. Vivace RF microneedling stimulates collagen at the skin’s surface for a more complete result.

– How it compares

Liquid facelift vs. dermal fillers, vs. Sculptra

vs. Dermal fillers

Dermal filler is a product or treatment category. A liquid facelift is a broader treatment-planning concept. Someone receiving a single syringe of cheek filler isn’t necessarily receiving a liquid facelift, a liquid facelift generally involves evaluating the face more comprehensively. More filler does not automatically create a better result, we focus on treating what’s actually contributing to the concern.

vs. Sculptra

Sculptra can be one component of a liquid facelift, but the terms aren’t interchangeable. Sculptra stimulates collagen gradually with no immediate volume, while Radiesse, another biostimulator, provides immediate volume in addition to stimulating collagen. Traditional dermal fillers provide more immediate volume and contour without the collagen-building effect. For some patients, Sculptra or Radiesse alone may be appropriate. Others may benefit from filler, neuromodulators, skin treatments, or a combination.

– An honest limit

Liquid facelift vs. surgical facelift

A liquid facelift is not a substitute for a surgical facelift. Injectables can help address volume loss, facial proportions, dynamic wrinkles, and certain age-related changes, but they cannot remove significant excess skin or reproduce the tissue repositioning achieved with surgery.

For patients with significant skin laxity or more advanced structural changes, surgical evaluation may be more appropriate. Part of providing an honest consultation is recognizing when adding more injectable product is unlikely to accomplish the patient’s goal.

vs.

– A common concern

Will a liquid facelift make me look overdone?

Our philosophy is preservation, not transformation.

We don’t believe every hollow needs to be filled or every wrinkle needs to disappear. Treatment is planned around maintaining your facial identity while addressing the areas contributing most to an aged or tired appearance.

The goal is not for someone to notice your filler. The goal is for you to look like yourself, rested, balanced, and refreshed.

– Where we can help

What areas can be addressed?

Cheeks & midface

Restoring appropriate support may improve facial balance and age-related volume changes.

Chin

Can sometimes improve facial proportions and profile balance.

Jawline

Strategic treatment may improve definition or support in appropriate candidates.

Temples

Age-related hollowing can contribute to a more skeletal or tired appearance.

Around the mouth

Selected areas of volume loss or structural support, rather than simply filling individual lines.

Dynamic wrinkles

Neuromodulators may soften lines caused by repeated muscle movement.

– Why AIVI

Why choose AIVI Aesthetics for facial rejuvenation

Instead of asking “where should we put filler?” we first ask: what is actually causing the change you’re seeing? Sometimes the answer is volume loss. Sometimes it’s muscle movement, skin quality, collagen loss, laxity, or a combination of factors. That distinction helps us create a more individualized plan while avoiding unnecessary treatment.

Liquid facelift FAQs

Is a liquid facelift actually a facelift?

No. “Liquid facelift” is a commonly used term for non-surgical facial rejuvenation using injectable treatments. It does not involve surgery and cannot reproduce all of the changes possible with a surgical facelift.

Treatment may include dermal fillers, biostimulators like Sculptra or Radiesse, neuromodulators, skin-quality treatments like RF microneedling, or a combination depending on the patient’s needs.

Sculptra can be part of a liquid facelift treatment plan, but Sculptra itself is a biostimulatory injectable. Some patients may receive Sculptra without needing other injectable treatments.

They are not directly comparable. Dermal filler is one treatment that may be used within a broader liquid-facelift plan.

Cost varies because treatment is individualized. The total depends on which treatments are recommended, the products used, the number of treatment areas, and whether treatment is completed at once or staged over multiple visits.

Downtime varies by treatment. Injectable treatments can cause temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising. We provide individualized pre- and post-treatment instructions based on the procedures performed.

The best starting point is a facial assessment. We evaluate your anatomy, skin quality, volume distribution, muscle movement, concerns, and goals before recommending treatment.
