Can Skinvive be used under eyes?

While Skinvive is FDA-approved specifically for the cheeks, some experienced injectors may use it “off-label” for the delicate under-eye area. There are a few reasons for this:

  • Similar Concerns: The under-eyes share similar issues with the cheeks: fine lines, crepiness, and a loss of vibrancy. Skinvive’s hydrating and smoothing effects can be beneficial here.
  • Off-Label Success: Skilled injectors have reported positive results with careful Skinvive placement under the eyes.

However, it’s important to understand the considerations:

  • Not FDA-Approved: Using Skinvive under the eyes is not its intended purpose. This means there are less clinical studies specifically focusing on its safety and efficacy in this area.
  • Increased Risk: The under-eye area is very thin and delicate, which carries slightly higher risks for side effects.
  • Alternatives May Be Better: There are dermal fillers specifically formulated for under-eye concerns, potentially making them a more suitable choice.

At AIVI Aesthetics, we always prioritize your safety and optimal results. During a consultation, we will thoroughly assess your under-eye area and recommend the most appropriate treatment approach, whether it’s Skinvive or another solution.
