Skinvive by Juvederm is FDA-approved and has a well-established safety profile. Hyaluronic acid (HA), its main ingredient, is naturally present in the body and well-tolerated when injected by a skilled professional. However, as with any injectable treatment, there are potential side effects to be aware of:
- Common Side Effects: Most commonly experienced side effects include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, pain, or tenderness at the injection site. These usually resolve on their own within a week.
- Rare Side Effects: Less commonly, some may experience small bumps under the skin, discoloration, or infection. In very rare cases, serious complications can occur if the product is unintentionally injected into a blood vessel. This is why it’s crucial to choose a qualified and experienced injector.
- Allergies: If you are allergic to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine (which some Skinvive formulations contain), this treatment would not be suitable.
At AIVI Aesthetics, your safety is my top priority. We will perform a thorough consultation to assess your health history and discuss any potential risks before proceeding with your Skinvive treatment.
